Walsingham Support is a national charity that supports individuals with learning disabilities, autism, and complex needs across locations in England and Wales. We pride ourselves on putting people at the heart of what we do, enabling us to deliver truly person-centered support solutions that provide increased independence and improved quality of life.

We are seeking an experienced Director of Quality Assurance who actively pursues excellence in quality outcomes, taking the lead in defining what those should be from the voices of the people supported and working with our Operations & Engagement teams to deliver these. Our goal is to put the individuals we support firmly in the centre of what we do, so that while regulatory compliance is a given, we see impact, quality of life, and continuous improvement in the lived experience as the quality goals for which we strive.

The successful candidate will lead the development of a visionary strategy to transform the approach to quality within Walsingham Support, mapping out the steps that will take us from an over-focus on compliance to creating a culture of continuous improvement and learning to help create great life experiences for our service users as well as flexible working hours.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a quality strategy that aligns with the organization's vision and values
  • Lead the quality assurance team to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards
  • Collaborate with Operations & Engagement teams to deliver quality outcomes that meet the needs of our service users
  • Identify areas for improvement and implement changes to enhance the quality of our services
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of quality initiatives and make recommendations for improvement

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in quality assurance and leadership roles
  • Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and industry standards
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
