Pastoral Support Assistant - Behaviour Mentor - Mental Health

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pastoral Support Assistant to join our team at Academics Ltd. As a Behaviour Mentor, you will play a vital role in supporting students with social, emotional, and mental health challenges.

About the Role:

  • Provide individualised support and guidance to students outside of the classroom
  • Work closely with students to develop strategies for managing behaviour and improving emotional well-being
  • Support students during transitions between classes and maintain a safe and respectful learning environment
  • Participate in team meetings and training programmes to enhance your skills and knowledge
  • Maintain accurate progress records and contribute to the development of individualised education plans

Requirements:

  • Undergraduate degree in a relevant field, such as Psychology or Criminology
  • Knowledge of SEMH and experience working with students with challenging behaviour
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a caring and empathetic approach
  • Flexibility in terms of working patterns and ability to work as part of a team
