About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled HSE Advisor to join our established HSE Team in Southampton. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our service meets the Customer's needs, aligns with our company policies, and adheres to industry standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support and guide colleagues on various HSE matters, promoting a positive culture and best practices.
  • Build relationships with key stakeholders across the organization, fostering a collaborative environment and driving continuous improvement in Health, Safety, and Environmental standards.
  • Deliver incident investigations, risk assessments, and tracking of determined actions, ensuring a proactive approach to risk management.
  • Manage the Risk & COSHH assessment databases, safety data sheet listings, and new starter inductions, maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance.
  • Conduct internal HSE auditing on all three standards (ISO 45001, 14001, 50001), identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  • Prepare and present Balanced Scorecard (BSC) reports, highlighting key performance indicators and trends.
  • Support HSE Representatives meetings, preparing agendas, minutes, and action items, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Update emergency preparedness arrangements and training, ensuring the team is equipped to respond to emergencies.
  • Review and update documents, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and industry standards.
  • Monitor and record energy and waste data, identifying areas for improvement and implementing sustainable practices.
  • Maintain the HSE notice board, ensuring it remains up-to-date and informative.
Requirements
  • Ability to achieve SC level clearance.
  • Proven track record of delivering HSE improvements and enhancements.
  • Knowledge of ISO Management Systems (ISO 14001, 45001, and 50001).
  • Experience in running and auditing HSE management systems.
  • Understanding of safety culture development and its impact on organizational performance.
  • NEBOSH General certification, with a strong desire to pursue NEBOSH Diploma/NVQ level 6.
  • Self-motivation, ability to work independently, and excellent communication skills.
  • Computer literacy, with proficiency in MS Office packages.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and drive decision-making.
  • Resilience, ability to work under pressure, and willingness to travel and work at other sites.
  • Excellent presentation skills, with the ability to communicate complex information to diverse audiences.
  • Experience in Business Continuity planning and its application in a fast-paced environment.
