Job Title: Lead Principal Electrical Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Principal Electrical Engineer to join our team in Aberdeen for a 6-month contract role. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a challenging project and contribute to the success of our client.

Job Purpose:

The successful candidate will be responsible for executing electrical engineering activities and ensuring technical quality is maintained within budget and schedule. Key responsibilities include:

  1. Providing electrical engineering input into tenders and proposals.
  2. Assessing and continuously improving working practices, systems, personnel, and team efficiency and performance.
  3. Supervising, workload allocation, and delivery to assigned electrical engineering personnel.
  4. Input and maintenance of project plan, progress updates, and cost control for assigned scopes.
  5. Maintaining project scope/schedule changes in accordance with project change control process.
  6. Estimate/schedule preparation and approval and electronic submission via digital ecosystem.
  7. Maintaining effective communication with client, project management, and inter-discipline teams.
  8. Reviewing, checking, and approving electrical engineering work output.
  9. Electrical checking, approval, and document filing.
  10. Conducting and supporting competency assessment of electrical engineering personnel.
  11. Supporting personal development of electrical engineering personnel.
  12. Implementing appropriate engineering processes and procedures.
Desired Qualities/Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess:

  1. Demonstrable experience in the Oil & Gas industry.
  2. UK bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in appropriate engineering subject (Electrical).
  3. Chartered Engineer and member of appropriate engineering Institute.
  4. Competent in the direction and organisation of discipline team within project environment.
  5. Competent in commercial, contractual, and administrative aspects of Engineering.
Desirable:

Offshore certification (BOSIET, MIST, Medical, etc.) is desirable but not essential.
