Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate nationally recognized training in collaboration with NHS Grampian's Regional Theatre Academy, with a commitment to being present at the academy one day per week.
- Lead quality improvement initiatives that positively impact patient care and operational efficiency.
- Support ongoing professional development in theatre practices and beyond.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning.
- Participate in relevant conferences to promote knowledge sharing and professional growth.
Candidate Requirements
- Possess a BSc degree or demonstrate a willingness to pursue this level of education in line with national standards.
- Exhibit a strong interest in educational provision across diverse teams.
- Have prior experience in delivering education within a peri-operative environment, with a focus on obstetric education.
- Design and implement induction programs for new staff, ensuring timely and supportive onboarding.
- Act as a liaison for academic institutions and coordinate training for student nurses and Operating Department Practitioners (ODPs).
- Bring innovative ideas for educational support and delivery, demonstrating enthusiasm and readiness to collaborate with the Regional Theatre Academy team.
- Be prepared to expand expertise to include Breast and Gynaecological surgical specialties following the relocation to the new facility.
- Thrive in a dynamic and challenging work environment.
- Possess the confidence to drive improvements across a diverse team, catering to varying levels of experience.
- Work primarily Monday to Friday, with flexibility to meet service demands and educational needs.
