Job Description

Salary: Up to £45,000 depending on experience

Working Arrangement: Hybrid working 2-3 days/week onsite in Wotton-under-Edge

Renishaw is a leading manufacturer of high-quality metrology instrumentation and control systems. We are currently seeking a skilled PCB Designer to join our team, responsible for creating new and maintaining existing PCB designs and assemblies using Electronic Design Automation (EDA) tools.Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop PCB designs to support new and existing products
  • Create complete design packages, including design data, fabrication, and assembly drawings
  • Review manufacturing requests and liaise with external and in-house manufacturing teams
  • Work closely with electronic designers and production engineers to develop high-quality PCB designs
  • Develop and maintain library data and processes to ensure design integrity
Requirements:
  • HNC Engineering or equivalent
  • Experience designing with high-speed digital design, analogue, or complex circuits
  • Experience working in an engineering design environment
  • Ability to work to predefined time scales and deadlines
  • Understanding of electronic design documentation and PCB fabrication and assembly processes
Desirable Requirements:
  • Familiarity with Zuken or Altium EDA tools
  • Understanding of Product Data Management (PDM) systems
  • Knowledge of UL, FCC, and CE certification
  • Knowledge of IPC standards

The successful applicant will demonstrate excellent skills in accuracy, attention to detail, and problem-solving. They will have good communication skills, both written and verbal, and be able to work well within a team environment.
