Clinical Pharmacist Opportunity

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated clinical pharmacist to join our team at Powys Teaching Health Board. As a clinical pharmacist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our clinical pharmacy services.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide medicines management support to designated community hospital wards and departments, including reviewing patients in their own homes.
- Support the implementation of Electronic Prescribing and Medicines Administration (ePMA) at Powys Teaching Health Board.
- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care and improve operational efficiency.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with healthcare professionals and patients to promote effective communication and medication management.
Requirements
- Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) as a pharmacist or undertaking pre-registration training.
- Master's degree (MPharm) or equivalent BPharm or BSc in Pharmacy, with highly developed specialist knowledge.
- Excellent understanding of pharmacy/medicines standards, legal requirements, and guidelines.
- Awareness of implications of current developments in pharmacy practice and NHS Wales strategies/policies.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
- Membership of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society, working towards the faculty framework.
- Previous experience in undertaking audit and research.
- Ability to speak Welsh.
