The Role

We are seeking an experienced Ecologist to lead our ecology function, driving growth and innovation in our business unit. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for spearheading the development of our in-house consultancy function, working closely with our award-winning infrastructure contractor clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the ecology function, providing strategic direction and guidance to the team.
  • Develop and implement effective ecology strategies, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality projects, meeting client expectations and exceeding performance targets.
  • Identify opportunities for growth and innovation, driving business development and expansion.

The Person

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Ecologist with a strong track record of leadership and innovation. You will have a deep understanding of ecological principles and practices, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in field-based ecology, with a strong understanding of ecological principles and practices.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think creatively and develop innovative solutions.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a strong focus on delivering high-quality results.

What We Offer:

  • A competitive salary of £60,000 - £65,000, plus car allowance, fuel card, and up to 9% pension.
