Job Description

Flagship Consulting is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Ecologist to join our team as a Senior Ecologist and Consultant Ecologist. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional to progress their career in a dynamic and multidisciplinary environmental consultancy.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct Preliminary Ecological Appraisals, Ecological Impact Assessments, and Biodiversity Net Gain Metrics for various projects across the UK.
  • Develop and implement mitigation strategies in collaboration with appointed contractors.
  • Work closely with clients, statutory consultees, and site contractors to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Manage own workload and time, as well as contribute to multi-discipline teams and work on multiple projects concurrently.
  • Produce clear and concise technical reports and support business development initiatives.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Ecology, Botany, Zoology, or equivalent.
  • At least 3 years of experience in the environmental consultancy sector.
  • Field experience with a range of habitats and protected species.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.
  • UK driving license and ability to work in the UK.
Desirable Qualifications:
  • Member of the Chartered Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management (CIEEM).
  • Holds protected species class/survey license(s).
  • QGIS experience.
  • Proven project management experience.
