Position Overview
As a pivotal member of the Digital Portfolio team, you will assume ownership and accountability for a variety of medium to large-scale IT and strategic projects, ensuring that all activities are executed with the backing of project sponsors.
This position necessitates exceptional stakeholder management abilities within a client-customer framework, along with a proactive approach to guarantee that both business and project resources are engaged and meeting project deadlines.
You will collaborate closely with the Head of Digital Applications and Portfolio, working alongside stakeholders to deliver and implement solutions and modifications to operational practices, ensuring that new services provide a superior quality experience for the University's staff and students.
Candidate Profile
As a member of the IT portfolio, your responsibility will be to deliver high-quality, robust, resilient, responsive, and secure IT projects across the University, providing customer-centric solutions that enhance service delivery.
The projects assigned will primarily focus on software applications and core IT infrastructure provided by third-party vendors; thus, substantial experience in supplier management and software deployment in complex environments will be advantageous.
You should possess prior experience leading projects or demonstrate transferable skills relevant to this role. Familiarity with project environments, governance, financial tracking, gateway checkpoints, project phases, stakeholder types at each phase, and standard project reporting requirements is essential.
Proficiency in creating project plans using tools such as MS Project and tracking project finances is expected.
