The Children's Society is seeking a dedicated Emotional Wellbeing Practitioner to join our team and make a real difference in the lives of children, young people, and their families across Birmingham.

We provide vital support to those facing emotional, behavioral, and mental health challenges. As an Emotional Wellbeing Practitioner, you'll play a crucial role in delivering low-intensity therapeutic interventions within our innovative mental health service.

About the Role:
  • You will build strong therapeutic relationships with young people and their families, providing person-centered support to enhance their emotional wellbeing.
  • Your expertise in understanding and addressing the unique challenges faced by young people experiencing mental health difficulties will be invaluable.
  • You'll work collaboratively within a dedicated team, contributing to a supportive and empowering environment for our service users.
Essential Skills and Experience:
  • A genuine passion for working with young people and a strong understanding of mental health issues affecting them.
  • Experience in providing direct therapeutic support within settings that cater to the needs of young people facing emotional, behavioral, or mental health concerns.
  • A background in healthcare, education, youth work, or social work, demonstrating your commitment to supporting vulnerable individuals.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to build rapport and trust with young people and their families.
