Job Overview
The Barts Health NHS Trust is seeking an experienced Senior Cardiac Physiologist to join our Echocardiography Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing complex-level tasks, supervising and training junior staff, and contributing to the development of the department.
Main Responsibilities
The Senior Cardiac Physiologist will be responsible for:
- Performing echocardiography procedures with minimal supervision
- Supervising and training junior staff in echocardiography procedures
- Contributing to the development of the Echocardiography Department
- Assisting senior staff with managerial tasks
- Working autonomously as a senior staff member within the non-invasive Cardiac Diagnostics department
Requirements
The successful candidate will have:
- A BSc in Clinical Physiology or equivalent
- Good knowledge of transthoracic echocardiography
- Experience in performing echocardiography procedures
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
