Job Description

Job Summary

The Regional Pricing Markets Manager will play a key role in leading and managing a team of price reporters and team leaders across various commodity areas. This role is responsible for developing and executing the regional strategy for relevant markets, contributing to the global strategy, and implementing the broader Fastmarkets growth strategies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute regional pricing strategy to drive excellence in pricing markets
  • Lead and manage a team of price reporters and team leaders to achieve high-quality pricing and content
  • Collaborate with global editors, managing editors, and price development team to develop and prioritize price benchmarks, products, and market coverage
  • Engage with industry participants to gather insights, gain feedback, and promote the quality of Fastmarkets' prices
  • Manage budget and prioritize resource allocation to achieve efficiencies and drive results
  • Support risk and compliance in audit activities and ensure team is familiar with all processes under review

Requirements

  • Strong background in pricing markets and journalism with expertise in relevant commodity sector
  • Full understanding of the use of Fastmarkets' prices as benchmarks and experience with high-pressure benchmark markets
  • Track record of strong leadership skills, including planning, motivating, delegating work, and achieving results through others
  • Experience in recruiting, training, and mentoring a team to meet and exceed Fastmarkets' standards for pricing, content, and market coverage
  • Experience in managing people managers and coaching them to drive performance within their team
  • Ability to operate at the highest levels internally within a matrix management structure and with external stakeholders
  • Ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously with a strong vision that is communicated clearly and coherently
