Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Kitchen Porter to join our team at Seaham Hall. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe working environment, adhering to high standards of hygiene and cleanliness.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the kitchen and surrounding areas are clean and tidy at all times, adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Restock and maintain cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring they are readily available for use.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to discussions on improving kitchen operations and maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
  • Report any maintenance issues or concerns to the Head Chef or management team promptly.
  • Follow all cleaning schedules and routines, using equipment and machinery as instructed by manufacturers' guidelines.

Requirements:

  • Previous cleaning experience is desired, but not essential.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills, with the ability to interact with management and team members in a professional manner.
  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team, with a strong focus on teamwork and collaboration.
  • Must have reliable transportation to and from work.
