Our projects vary significantly in scale, ranging from £5k to £15m, where we often assume the roles of Principal Contractor and Principal Designer, while also providing support to our esteemed Tier 1 contractor clients.

Role Overview

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for delivering comprehensive commercial support to our project teams. This includes managing a diverse array of contract types, predominantly NEC and IChemE, while adhering to strict deadlines for both internal and external reporting.

Key Responsibilities

This position is based at our headquarters, offering a hybrid work model of three days in the office and two days remote, with flexibility as needed. Travel to client sites and meetings will be required.

  • Review and negotiate contracts to secure favorable commercial terms for the business.
  • Ensure timely and accurate reporting to meet stringent monthly deadlines.
  • Manage invoicing for your project portfolio in accordance with on-site progress and contractual obligations, while monitoring overall cost performance.
  • Implement change control processes effectively in collaboration with the delivery team.
  • Facilitate the swift agreement and sign-off of project final accounts by engaging with key stakeholders.
  • Monitor project expenditures alongside the delivery team, reviewing budgets to guarantee value for money for both the business and its clients.
  • Ensure prompt contract setup to provide stakeholders with immediate access to essential information.
  • Mentor and train junior team members to foster their professional development.

Candidate Requirements

We are seeking a candidate with extensive experience who will join us at a qualified level. We welcome applications from both Senior and Managing Quantity Surveyors.

Essential Qualifications

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a Quantity Surveying environment, with proficiency in the NEC suite of contracts.
  • Ability to read and interpret project scope documents and drawings confidently.
  • Advanced competency in MS Excel.
  • Possession of a full UK driving license.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Experience in MEICA, mechanical, and/or electrical disciplines.
  • RICS accreditation or equivalent qualification.
