About the Role

Ransomes Jacobsen Ltd., a leading global manufacturer of commercial mowers and turf maintenance equipment, is seeking an experienced Industrial Operations Specialist to join our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing enhancements across all operational areas to elevate product quality and boost manufacturing efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process Analysis and Improvement: Analyze manufacturing systems and processes to identify areas for improvement, and present data-driven recommendations to drive business decisions.
  • Project Management: Manage projects from start to finish, including reporting to senior leaders on progress, challenges, return on investment, and next steps.
  • Data Analytics: Utilize software environments to analyze production and TAKT performance data, and implement data-driven solutions to drive business growth.
  • Lean Principles: Apply lean principles, such as waste identification and elimination, theory of constraints, and 1-piece flow, to evaluate and implement opportunities for improvement.
  • Business Development: Develop assigned projects to meet strategic business objectives, including developing key performance indicators, measurement system needs, resource requirements, and expected outcomes.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work with cross-functional teams and communicate with key stakeholders to implement business strategic initiatives in a sustainable manner.
  • Ergonomics and Layout Optimization: Evaluate physical workstations and layouts for ergonomic improvements, waste reduction, repeatability, visual management, and operator satisfaction.
  • Supply Chain Optimization: Implement recommended material storage and presentation methods to the assembly line.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent required, Industrial Engineering preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience required.
  • Software knowledge including statistical analysis tools (Excel, MiniTab, etc.) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • CAD (Siemens NX)/SAP/Oracle, Team Centre, and Power BI experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing Techniques and Six Sigma.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and knowledge of PFMEA, SPC, and Quality Control Techniques.
  • Ability to work with staff at differing levels.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to assess and upgrade procedures and systems.
  • Versatile and a self-starter able to work with minimal supervision.
