We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Theatre Practitioner to join our team at Spire Leicester Hospital. As a key member of our surgical team, you will be responsible for assisting patients undergoing elective procedures and working closely with our experienced surgeons and medical staff.

About the Role

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Registered Nurse or Operating Department Practitioner to develop their skills and experience in a supportive and dynamic environment. You will have the chance to work with a variety of patients and procedures, and will be encouraged to take on new challenges and responsibilities as you progress in your career.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist patients with preparation for surgery and provide reassurance and support
  • Review patient charts and confirm data to ensure accurate and safe care
  • Ensure medical equipment is available and functioning correctly
  • Follow surgeon's directions and pass medical equipment as required
  • Monitor patient's condition during surgery and respond to any changes or concerns
  • Work according to rota, including flexible shifts and weekend work

Requirements

  • Registered Nurse or Operating Department Practitioner qualification
  • Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in orthopaedics
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • HCPC or NMC registration
