Job Title: Java Developer

At Bank of America, we strive to make a positive impact on our customers' financial lives. As a Java Developer, you will be part of a newly formed small Scrum team in Chester, working on the award-winning Global Liquidity Platform (GLP) application.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team that operates in an agile manner, with regular interaction with other technical teams, product management, and end users. As a Java Developer, you will be responsible for designing and developing client requirements, automating manual release activities, and utilizing multiple architectural components.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop client requirements using Java, JEE, and Unix scripting (BASH)
  • Automate manual release activities
  • Utilize multiple architectural components (data, application, business) in design and development
  • Code solutions and unit test to deliver requirements/stories
Requirements
  • Good Java development experience
  • Core Java, JEE
  • Unix scripting (BASH)
  • Experience of Oracle DB – PLSQL scripting
  • Experience with Agile/SCRUM programming project methodologies
  • Experience using software configuration management systems (Git/BitBucket)
