About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Product Safety Engineer to join our team at BAE Systems. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety of our products throughout their lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement safety strategies to mitigate risks and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and test safe products.
  • Conduct thorough risk assessments and safety analyses to identify potential hazards.
  • Develop and maintain safety documentation, including safety cases and risk assessments.
  • Provide safety training and guidance to colleagues and stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in product safety engineering, with a strong understanding of regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate risks.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.
