About the Role:

We are currently recruiting for a skilled legal professional to manage their own caseload of housing management cases, including disrepair, succession, and non-occupation/subletting claims. As a Housing Lawyer, you will be responsible for handling matters related to housing law and case management, attending court and conducting advocacy on behalf of our client, a local authority.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a varied caseload of housing management cases, including disrepair, succession, and non-occupation/subletting claims.
  • Handle matters related to housing law and case management, including pre-action protocols and Civil Procedure Rules.
  • Attend court and conduct advocacy on behalf of the local authority.
  • Demonstrate a strong knowledge of housing law and case management principles.

Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of housing law and case management principles.
  • Experience in attending court and conducting advocacy.
  • Solid knowledge of pre-action protocols and Civil Procedure Rules.
  • Local authority experience preferred but not essential.

What We Offer:

  • Up to £50 per hour, depending on experience.
  • Flexible working arrangements, including 1-2 days per week in our south London offices (negotiable for the right candidate).
  • Condensed hours will be considered, but a 4-day working week is required.
