Mirus Aircraft Seating is seeking a highly skilled Test Technician to join our team in Hingham, Norfolk. As a Test Technician, you will play a key role in certifying products for airworthiness and supporting the execution of dynamic, static, and life cycle tests.
Key Responsibilities- Set up and execute static, dynamic, and life cycle tests in accordance with test procedures and customer requirements.
- Support the development and certification of testing procedures and protocols.
- Collaborate with engineers and senior technicians to ensure the successful execution of tests.
- Manufacture and maintain test fixtures and equipment as necessary.
- Carry out development and certification static tests to customer and regulatory requirements.
- Be responsible for the maintenance of the static test/life cycle area and equipment.
- Review and update risk assessments for the dynamic test facility.
- Support the maintenance of dynamic sleds in line with engineer instructions.
- Ensure a high level of housekeeping and maintain a safe working environment.
- Mechanical or Electrical Engineering apprenticeship or equivalent experience.
- Previous experience as a mechanical or electrical technician/engineer.
- Strong mechanical fitting skills and electrical/electronic skills.
- Strong organisational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- HNC/HND in Engineering.
- Experience in a testing environment.
- Photographic experience.
- Data collection experience.
- Knowledge of photography, high-speed data, and video capture.
