About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cardiac Specialist Nurse to join our team at East and North Herts NHS Trust. As a Cardiac Specialist Nurse, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our heart failure service.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess, develop, and implement specialist nursing care programs for patients with heart failure.
- Provide expert advice and support to other staff members, including education and training on cardiac nursing practices.
- Conduct research and lead clinical audits in the specialty area of heart failure.
- Ensure the provision of accurate and timely patient information, empowering patients to make informed decisions about their care.
- Promote the heart failure service within the trust and externally, representing the trust and specialty at a regional and national level.
Requirements
- Registered Nurse educated to degree level or willingness to undertake.
- Post-registration qualification in specialty.
- Evidence of continuous professional development.
- Teaching qualification.
- Advanced communication skills/counselling qualification or willingness to undertake.
- Advanced clinical assessment.
