Relief Painter

VSA is a well-established local charity providing vital support and services to people of all ages. We are seeking a skilled Relief Painter to join our Property and Maintenance Team on an ad-hoc basis.
The successful candidate will provide a routine and proactive painting service at all VSA establishments and associated services, carrying out painting and decorating work as and when required.
Key Responsibilities- Carry out the duties of a qualified painter, including establishing a routine to complete daily, weekly, and monthly tasks.
- Ensure Health and Safety standards are rigorously met while undertaking duties.
- Build and maintain positive working relationships with internal customers.
- Must be a time-served painter or hold an equivalent qualification in painting.
- Evidenced experience of stripping wallpaper, applying paint finishes to internal and external surfaces, and wallpaper hanging.
- Working knowledge of Health and Safety.
- Ability to work well on own initiative.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Quality workmanship and attention to detail.
- Planning and prioritizing work.
- Flexibility and adaptability.
- Self-motivation and reliability.
- Current driving license and own transport.
