Position Overview

We are on the lookout for a skilled Talent Acquisition Manager to become a vital part of our energetic Human Resources team. You will play a crucial role in orchestrating the staffing needs for our events, ranging from thrilling race weekends to our renowned major events and beyond. This is not your typical HR or Recruitment role; prepare for an exhilarating journey

OBJECTIVE

To ensure the proficient and effective planning and allocation of all personnel required. Recruit, cultivate, and develop the staffing pool to align with the strategic growth of the organization.

Assist all operational divisions with their staffing needs and enhancements.

Guarantee that the procedures, policies, and organizational expectations are effectively communicated and managed with all support team members.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Recruitment & Staffing

Collaborate with operational divisions and the Talent Acquisition Manager to recruit and schedule casual and agency personnel.

Partner with the Talent Acquisition Manager to ensure the selection of the most suitable candidates for the team.

Ensure that recruitment processes and onboarding of personnel adhere to the Recruitment Policy and organizational standards.

Lead recruitment events as necessary.

Manage daily interactions with staffing agencies, providing regular communication and feedback.

Schedule and process personnel for operational divisions and events.

Continuously monitor the Staff Portal to allocate personnel for shifts.

Deliver effective and engaging communication and information to the support team, ensuring timely delivery.

Ensure that staff check-in points are adequately resourced for major events, weekend meetings, and other business needs for casual, seasonal, and agency personnel.

Consolidate departmental schedules and staffing requests to efficiently manage in-house and agency resources.

  1. Training and Onboarding

Ensure all new hires are assigned online and onsite training.

Work with the Professional Development Manager to track training completions and enrollments, following up on any incomplete training.

Accountable for delivering an engaging and effective onboarding experience for all support team members.

Facilitate the completion of contracts, paperwork, and any necessary background checks.

  1. Employee Relations

Maintain up-to-date policies and processes for our support team resources.

Manage employee relations while ensuring compliance with legal standards.

Monitor staff performance and attendance as required.

Accreditation

In collaboration with the Accreditation department, produce all necessary accreditation for support team members, agency workers, and event partners.

Assist in managing the accreditation software.

Maintain accurate records within the accreditation system.

Ensure all accreditation produced meets the required standards and formats.

Attend relevant meetings as necessary.

Oversee accreditation plans for all support team members and agency workers during club and major race weekends.

Adhere to data protection policies.

  1. HR System/Payroll

Ensure shift hours are updated and reconciled on both the portal and staffing sheets to provide accurate month-end costs for the Finance Team.

Input staff hours for payroll and verify pay rates for direct staff and agencies.

Maintain accuracy within the HR system at all times.

Process new hires and terminations in a timely manner.

Collaborate with the HR Systems Manager to develop systems that enhance the staffing process's operational efficiency and user-friendliness.

TEAM RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Participate in operational, business, and planning meetings as required.
  • Uphold the professional image of the organization by maintaining high standards of professionalism and personal presentation.
  • Engage in staff training as necessary.
  • Comply with organizational policies and health and safety regulations, promoting awareness of health and safety requirements.
  • Undertake any additional responsibilities as reasonably required.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES

Performance will be evaluated against objectives set through the Personal Development Review process.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • CIPD membership and a solid understanding of contemporary HR practices (desirable).
  • 3+ years of experience in HR.
  • Experience managing employee relations cases.
  • Confidence in advising managers on all aspects of people management.
  • Understanding of UK employment law.
  • Skills in influencing, coaching, facilitation, and commercial HR.
  • Strategic mindset and innovative thinking.
  • Discreet, ethical, and confidential approach.
  • Strong knowledge of company policies and procedures relevant to the HR role.
  • Understanding of employment law related to the business.
  • Flexible working hours, including weekends and some evenings.
  • Enjoyment of a fast-paced work environment.
  • Full clean UK driving license.
  • Proficient IT skills (Excel, Word, staff rota systems; knowledge of Select HR/Select Pay is desirable).
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently in a dynamic environment.
  • Basic payroll knowledge.
  • Ability to perform under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Professional presentation reflecting organizational values.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently with individuals at all levels.
  • Ability to manage relationships with stakeholders.
