Deputy Ward Manager Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Ward Manager to join our team at a leading healthcare provider in Dewsbury, West Yorkshire. As a Deputy Ward Manager, you will play a key role in providing day-to-day management and supervision of the ward, working closely with the Ward Manager to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Ward Manager in providing management and supervision of a team of registered and unregistered staff
  • Implement best practice across the ward
  • Support changes within the service
  • Responsible for the clinical direction of the service
  • Support the delivery of personalised care and contribute to service improvement
Requirements:
  • Qualified as a Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with a current active NMC Pin
  • Experience in delivering and receiving supervision
  • Ability to access and prioritise clinical situations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Team player
