Rail Fleet Engineer Job Description

Manpower UK Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Rail Fleet Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Engineering Division, you will be responsible for managing asset renewal programmes for the heavy maintenance and overhaul of traction and rolling stock vehicles.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop, produce, and deliver asset renewal programmes for heavy maintenance and overhaul of traction and rolling stock
  • Ensure accurate record keeping of material and labour costs for heavy maintenance and overhaul programmes
  • Provide support in the development, production, and delivery of a budget for the Main Workshops
  • Line management of workshop engineering staff in line with Company and Legislative standards
  • Implement and expand safety systems within the Workshops
  • Management of ISO9000 Quality System
Requirements:
  • Qualified HNC/HND or above in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
  • Proven experience in the rail or heavy engineering sector with experience of maintenance on vehicles/complex machinery
  • Experience developing and managing programme budgets
  • Experience with quality/safety management systems and continuous improvement
  • Project management experience
