We are seeking a skilled Financial Assistant to join our team at Reed, a leading commercial construction business. This exciting opportunity will allow you to develop your career in a fast-paced environment, working closely with our Group Financial Controller.

The successful candidate will support a variety of accounting functions, including:

  • Purchase Ledger Management: Assist with invoice checking, entering, and monthly reconciliation of statements.
  • Intercompany Cross-Charges: Identify and raise necessary invoices.
  • Expenditure Coding: Code and enter expenditure for company credit cards.
  • Analysis and Reporting: Provide analysis reports and supplementary documentation to Managers and Directors.
  • Asset Management: Record and store asset purchase and disposal information.
  • Software Transition: Take an active role in our transition to new software.
  • Month-End Closures: Assist with month-end closures and supply of year-end information to external Auditors.

Requirements:

  • General accounts experience is essential.
  • Part Qualified AAT / AAT Qualified or similar is required.
  • Experience with Sage50 Accounts software is an advantage.
  • Competence in Excel.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail with the ability to work to deadlines.
  • Self-motivation and strong interpersonal and communication skills.
