About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Works Manager to join our team at BAM Nuttall. As a key member of our project delivery team, you will be responsible for overseeing the smooth operation of our construction projects, ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and manage site operations, including the coordination of labor, plant, and materials.
  • Develop and implement safe systems of work, ensuring compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations.
  • Manage and develop a team of site staff, including foremen and other personnel.
  • Coordinate with external stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and suppliers.
  • Monitor and report on project progress, identifying and mitigating any potential risks or issues.
  • Ensure that all operational records are accurate and up-to-date.
  • Attend and contribute to safety, programme, commercial, and business meetings as necessary.
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Works Manager or Senior Site Manager in a major civil engineering project.
  • Excellent people management and communication skills.
  • Ability to develop and implement safe systems of work.
  • Knowledge of relevant health and safety regulations and standards.
  • Qualified First Aider.
