About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Facilities Assistant to join our team at Aspris Children's Services. As a key member of our support team, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and tidy environment throughout our school, ensuring that all areas meet operational standards and statutory regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Environmental Maintenance: Ensure that all school areas are clean and tidy, and that work processes comply with statutory regulations.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of maintenance checks, issues, and repairs.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with the maintenance department and other staff members to ensure a smooth and efficient operation.
  • Problem Solving: Identify and report damage, faults, and other related issues to the maintenance department or manager.
Requirements
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact with staff and students in a professional and respectful manner.
  • Organizational Skills: Highly organized and able to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.

About Aspris

Aspris Children's Services is a specialist school for young people aged 7 to 19 who have autistic spectrum disorders (ASD). Our tailored approach means we are able to support young people with a wide range of needs, from those who are broadly average in their ability to others who have more severe learning difficulties.

We provide a total environment where young people are offered safe, secure, and predictable surroundings in which they can come to understand their own areas of difficulties and learn skills and techniques in order to overcome them. This ensures that they are able to fulfill their potential socially, academically, physically, and spiritually and enable them to rebuild their low self-esteem and self-belief.
