Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Operations Manager to join our team at ISS. As a key member of our engineering services team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our technical services and facilities management operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and manage the lifecycle of our technical services and facilities management operations.
- Support and advise our Engineering Manager in the control of technical services and facilities management activities.
- Be responsible for ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards, including electrical safety and testing.
- Evaluate all technical reports and provide regular updates to our stakeholders.
- Support and advise our Engineering Manager in the management of remedial and project works.
- Quantify corrective actions and validate quotes.
- Review method statements and provide support to our facilities management team.
- Manage and implement our safe system of work (SSoW) and risk assessment and method statement (RAMS) processes.
- Authorise and manage electrical works and training and assessment of authorised persons, competent persons, and site responsible persons.
- Support our facilities management team in the management of SSoW and RAMS.
- Lead and motivate our engineering team to improve performance on customer service, communication, networking, common engineering standards, quality, safety, and environmental issues.
Requirements
- Recognised qualification in an appropriate engineering subject.
- Appointed Authorising Engineer or Authorised Person for M&E disciplines.
- Member of an appropriate technical institution (IET, CIBSE) – desirable.
- 5-10 years' experience of managing a multi-disciplinary critical service to a complex facility incorporating maintenance and engineering.
- Demonstrates experience of co-coordinating and managing technical services and good awareness of fit-out and H&S issues.
- Able to think on their feet and change their approach as required.
- Experience of formulating, implementing, and managing change management programmes.
