Position Overview

Job Title: Lead Quantitative Analyst

Contract Duration: 3 Months (Hybrid - 1 day per week)

Compensation: £580 - £650 per day (Inside IR35)

Office Locations: Various locations available

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct and execute high-quality, inclusive quantitative (or qualitative/mixed methods) research projects, ensuring a measurable influence on policy decisions and aligning with our strategic goals.
  • Offer technical guidance and oversight in survey research and quality assurance throughout the research lifecycle, supporting the Principal Researcher and the broader team.
  • Conduct or supervise advanced analysis of extensive datasets to enhance our understanding of consumer behavior, collaborating with data scientists and other analysts.
  • Guide and mentor junior staff on quantitative research methodologies and actively engage in the Research and Behavioral Science sub-profession to foster skill development.
  • Ensure that research findings and analyses are impactful and effectively communicated in policy documents.
  • Champion the consumer's viewpoint.
  • Deliver consumer insights to both internal and external stakeholders at various levels in an engaging manner, enhancing the visibility and influence of the team and its research.
  • Work in conjunction with the behavioral science team to ensure a comprehensive perspective on policy matters and the most suitable research methodologies.
  • Establish and nurture relationships with external stakeholders, including peers in other regulatory bodies, government sectors, and research organizations.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience in leading the design and execution of quantitative social research projects.
  • Advanced technical proficiency in quantitative analysis utilizing survey data, with a solid grasp of statistical methodologies and hypothesis testing.
  • High level of expertise in tools such as SPSS, Python, R, or similar for data manipulation, analysis, and visualization.
  • Ability to cultivate strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to identify research and collaboration opportunities.
  • Proficient in evaluating, synthesizing, and interpreting evidence from diverse sources, drawing logical conclusions, and effectively communicating findings to senior non-specialists.
  • Experience in managing or mentoring less experienced researchers.
