Electrical Design Engineer Job Description

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join our design team as a Project Electrical Design Engineer. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for handling all aspects of Electrical design, leading projects to successful completion, and collaborating with colleagues, managers, and suppliers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop electrical systems, including industrial control installations, complex system test facilities, and automatic test equipment.
  • Lead projects from concept to completion, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality results.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective communication and project management.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including schematics, test circuits, and design packages.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry standards, regulations, and best practices.

Requirements:

  • Time-served or degree-qualified in Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
  • Strong understanding of LV directives and relevant electrical standards.
  • Experience with Solidworks Electrical or other design packages.
  • Ability to design schematics and test circuits from first principles.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.
