- Implementation of Education and Behavior Plans: Assist in the implementation of individual education and behavior plans, working closely with teachers and other professionals to ensure students receive the support they need.
- Creating a Positive Learning Environment: Foster a positive and safe learning environment for all students, promoting a culture of respect, empathy, and understanding.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and external professionals to monitor and support student progress, ensuring effective communication and a shared understanding of student needs.
- Emotional Well-being and Resilience: Promote the emotional well-being and resilience of students through positive relationships and appropriate interventions, helping them to develop coping strategies and manage challenging situations.
- Engaging Activities: Help develop and deliver engaging activities that cater to the needs and interests of the students, promoting a love of learning and a sense of accomplishment.
- Experience: Experience working with children or young people with SEMH needs, either in a school setting or a similar environment.
- Qualifications: Relevant qualifications (e.g., CACHE Level 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning, or equivalent) are desirable but not essential.
- Skills: Strong communication, empathy, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
- Approach: A patient, calm, and understanding approach to challenging situations, with a commitment to providing high-quality support and guidance.
