About the Role:

Pertemps London is seeking a skilled Assistant Estimator to join their team. As a key member of the Estimating Team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the success of construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Estimating Team in preparing detailed and accurate cost estimates.
  • Analyse documentation, including blueprints and specifications, to ensure project requirements are met.
  • Collaborate with various departments and stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Liaise with clients at the early engagement stage, advising on compliance and project requirements.
  • Develop good working relationships with the Estimating Team and other departments.
  • Prepare budget costs for construction projects and assist with tender submissions.
  • Coordinate meetings with clients, the delivery team, and other stakeholders.
  • Monitor construction processes and research prices from suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Ensure project costs stay within forecasts and escalate issues to the Estimating Manager.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 6 months' experience in estimating or construction projects, ideally within passive fireproofing.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and organisational skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects efficiently.
