Position Overview

Superscript is seeking a dedicated and proactive IBA Accounts Technician to oversee the financial processes associated with our insurance brokerage operations.

Reporting directly to the IBA Manager, this role presents an excellent opportunity to become part of a knowledgeable and welcoming finance team, allowing you to make a significant contribution while delivering outstanding service to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead all accounting functions related to insurance broking.
  • Administer client accounts payable and receivable, ensuring transactions are processed accurately and promptly.
  • Conduct regular reconciliations of client and insurer accounts (bordereaux), addressing and rectifying any discrepancies.
  • Leverage Excel for financial data analysis, report generation, and to aid in strategic decision-making.
  • Ensure compliance with all financial activities in accordance with relevant regulations and internal guidelines, particularly those pertinent to the Lloyd's of London market.
  • Collaborate with the team to pinpoint opportunities for process enhancements and implement effective solutions.
  • Support the IBA Manager with various responsibilities, including financial forecasting, budgeting, and preparation for audits.

Candidate Profile:

  • Approximately 3+ years of experience in insurance brokerage accounting, preferably within the Lloyd's of London sector.
  • Solid understanding of accounts payable and receivable processes for insurers.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel.
  • Strong analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Capable of problem-solving and taking initiative.
  • Able to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders, both internally and externally.
  • A team-oriented individual who thrives in a collaborative, cross-functional environment.
  • Knowledge of compliance requirements relevant to the insurance sector is highly advantageous.
