Senior Forensic Psychologist Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and ambitious Senior Forensic Psychologist to join our Psychological Services team at Serco. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality psychological services within our prisons.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage a team of Forensic Psychologists and Forensic Psychologists-in-Training
  • Undertake forensic risk assessments of prisoners to ensure their safety and well-being
  • Act as a professional witness in parole board hearings and other formal settings
  • Develop and deliver new offending behaviour programmes
  • Deliver training on issues such as personality disorder and managing difficult behaviour
Requirements:
  • Chartered status with the British Psychological Society
  • Registered as a Forensic Psychologist with the Health and Care Professions Council
  • On the Register of Applied Psychology Practice Supervisors (RAAPS) with the BPS
  • Good awareness and knowledge of the Offender Personality Disorder pathway
  • Experience and ability to make good clinical formulations of offenders with complex needs
