Role Overview:

As a Multi-Skilled Engineer, your primary goal will be to ensure seamless operations within the plant through modern maintenance systems. You will play a pivotal role in enhancing the availability and reliability of equipment while prioritizing safety. Collaborating closely with the Engineering Manager, you will lead both planned and reactive maintenance activities, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement the site's maintenance strategy.
  • Utilize modern techniques such as TPM, RCA, RCM, and FMEA to enhance equipment reliability, delivering monthly improvement plans.
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement and conduct failure analysis by leveraging CMMS data to address root causes effectively.
  • Manage live plant issues efficiently.
  • Plan and execute weekly and monthly maintenance schedules, ensuring compliance and managing preventative work order backlogs.
  • Analyze KPIs and report results to key stakeholders regularly.
  • Oversee planned maintenance outages and events.
  • Build team capabilities focusing on asset knowledge and maintenance processes.
  • Support engineering excellence in designated categories.
  • Conduct risk assessments and manage permits for work.
  • Effectively manage third-party contracts.
  • Assist in budget management, providing clear forecasts and contributing to annual budget projections.

Qualifications:

  • Time-served engineer with a minimum HNC qualification.
  • Strong leadership and management skills.
  • Experience with maintenance planning systems.
  • Solid understanding of health and safety regulations, with a minimum IOSH qualification.
  • Familiarity with CMMS management, deployment, and auditing.
  • Excellent computer proficiency and communication skills.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Experience with RCA processes.
  • Preferred experience in food manufacturing and BRC standards.
  • Full clean driving license required, with potential coverage for other UK sites.
