About JP Engineering

JP Engineering is a specialist temporary works design and demolition engineering consultancy with over 25 years of experience in the design of temporary works, complex demolition, and specialist lifting equipment.

We are seeking a graduate to assist our Temporary Works Designer in the Northern region, covering temporary works designs and checks, as well as an emergency response service to structural failures within the region.

In addition to this, the successful candidate will assist the designer in working platform design within the company.

We provide efficient designs for granular, geo-reinforced, and stabilised working platforms, verified by our extensive test data. We also design for pile rigs, mobile cranes, and crawler cranes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Temporary Works Designer in the Northern region
  • Supply temporary works designs and checks
  • Provide an emergency response service to structural failures within the region
  • Assist the designer in working platform design
  • Design for granular, geo-reinforced, and stabilised working platforms
  • Design for pile rigs, mobile cranes, and crawler cranes
Requirements
  • Degree in a relevant Civil Engineering qualification
  • Demonstrable competence in structural analysis
  • Understanding of construction methodology and design principles in reference to temporary works and demolition
  • Understanding of CAD, including AutoCAD and REVIT
  • Numerate, exceptional accuracy, and excellent communication
  • Willingness to learn and keen to take on and accept responsibility
  • 2-3 years of experience in an equivalent commercial environment (preferred but not essential)
