Nursery Room Leader/Assistant Deputy Manager Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Nursery Room Leader/Assistant Deputy Manager to join our client's growing Nursery team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing high-quality care and education to young children.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing leadership and guidance to junior members of staff, ensuring the nursery room is compliant with internal and external policies and regulations, and planning daily activities in line with the EYFS curriculum.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality care and education to children at all times
  • Act as a Key person to a number of children and maintain regular contact with parents
  • Ensure the nursery room is compliant with internal and external policies and regulations
  • Plan daily activities in line with the EYFS curriculum
  • Carry out supervisions and evaluations
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure they are filed accordingly
  • Act as a mentor and provide leadership to junior members of staff
  • Ensure the nursery room and nursery have good staffing levels and arrange cover when needed
About the Nursery

Our client provides a warm and happy environment where children are the top priority. The purpose-built nursery has been designed to allow children to spend lots of time outside and learn through play.

Requirements
  • A minimum of a Level 3 childcare-related qualification
  • GCSE or equivalent English and Mathematics Grade C or above (if Childcare Qualification achieved after September 2014)
  • Excellent knowledge of EYFS and OFSTED frameworks
  • Good time management and organisational skills
