Are you a Senior Technical Lead seeking to join a dynamic and innovative development firm? This progressive organization is looking to enhance its established Commercial team with the addition of a Senior Technical Lead.

The company is a reputable high-end luxury developer with a strong presence in the North West, boasting a variety of upcoming projects, including properties valued between £900K and £1.3Million, as well as commercial ventures such as hotels.

This role is ideal for a seasoned Engineering/Architectural professional eager to advance their career by taking on greater managerial responsibilities and leadership roles.

As a Senior Technical Lead, you will report directly to the Technical Director and collaborate closely with the Senior Technical Manager. Your primary responsibility will be to oversee the management of new developments from initial acquisition through to final adoption, while also leading a team of Architects & Engineers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct pre-purchase evaluations of development opportunities, providing insights on potential constraints.
  • Continuously assess the performance and design capabilities of consultants to ensure adherence to best practices in delivering value engineering.
  • Assist in the timely management of building regulations and planning conditions.
  • Ensure that adoption agreements are secured promptly.
  • Evaluate consultant designs to ensure they meet purpose and provide optimal value.
  • Foster strong working relationships with site personnel and department heads to ensure projects are executed as intended, while encouraging feedback for future improvements.
  • Implement innovative ideas and methods to enhance contributions to the organization’s objectives and bolster the company’s reputation.
  • Develop effective relationships with local authorities, ensuring familiarity with their specific requirements and the various techniques applicable to the housing sector for efficient approvals and cost-effective construction.
  • Manage the transfer of substation and pumping station sites as necessary.
  • Coordinate the assignment of postal numbers and street names for new developments.
  • Assist in establishing management companies for apartment complexes and private roads.
  • Organize surfacing contractors and oversee remedial works, leading to the maintenance of roads and sewers.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience in residential development with the capability to manage all aspects involving consultant engineers.
  • Proven ability to oversee new developments from acquisition to final adoption.
  • Degree or equivalent experience in Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of management experience within a housebuilding or development context.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
  • Comprehensive understanding of design, regulations, and engineering processes.
  • Results-oriented individual with excellent prioritization skills.

Compensation Package:

  • £60,000 - £80,000 Basic (commensurate with experience) + Benefits
