Position Overview:
Belmont Recruitment is currently seeking a dedicated Housing Solutions Specialist to join our team. This role is crucial in assisting individuals and families in navigating their housing options and ensuring compliance with statutory obligations.

Key Responsibilities:
The selected candidate will be responsible for:

  • Providing expert housing advice and support to clients, ensuring adherence to the Council's statutory duties regarding homelessness and housing services.
  • Engaging with clients through various communication channels, including phone, email, and in-person consultations.
  • Negotiating effectively with landlords, family members, and other agencies to secure optimal housing solutions and prevent homelessness.
  • Conducting thorough financial assessments to determine housing affordability and collaborating with the Welfare Service to enhance income support.

Qualifications:
We are looking for candidates who possess:

  • Experience in Housing Advice, Homelessness, or Tenancy Relations.
  • Proven ability to deliver services to a diverse clientele, managing challenging situations with professionalism.
  • Knowledge of confidentiality protocols and the ability to handle sensitive information appropriately.
  • A strong understanding of current homelessness legislation, including the Homeless Reduction Act.
  • A valid UK driving license and access to a vehicle for work purposes.
