Job Title: Senior Java and Azure Migration Expert

Job Summary:

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a talented team of software engineers and collaborate with internal business stakeholders and technical teams to deliver an exceptional product experience. As a Senior Java and Azure Migration Expert, you will be responsible for migrating complex software applications to Azure, working with cutting-edge technology to simplify Big Data management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop software applications using Java and Azure technologies
  • Migrate existing software applications to Azure, ensuring seamless integration and minimal downtime
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software products
  • Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging technologies
  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior team members

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of software engineering experience
  • BS in Engineering/Computer Science
  • Hands-on experience with Cloud Technologies – Azure/AWS
  • Ability to work with complex data models
  • Proficiency in development languages including but not limited to: Python, Java, C/C++, HTML, XML, SQL, Windows, UNIX, and JSON
  • Familiarity with industry best practices – code coverage
  • Experience in software development methodologies (Agile, Waterfall)
  • Experience with Git – GitLab/GitHub
  • Knowledge of test-driven development
  • Ability and desire to learn new processes and technologies
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

Working Environment:

You will operate in various development environments (Agile, Waterfall, etc.) and collaborate with key stakeholders. The role involves writing and reviewing detailed specifications, completing bug fixes, and keeping abreast of new technological developments. You will make major code design changes to new and existing products and be a primary point of contact for the products you develop or own.

Job Type: Contract position with a duration of 12 Month(s)

Work Site: Hybrid position requiring some days on-site in London, England and some days remote
