Job Title: Senior Java and Azure Migration Expert

Job Summary:

This is an exciting opportunity to join TEKsystems as a Senior Java and Azure Migration Expert. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for migrating complex software applications to Azure, leveraging your expertise in Java and cloud technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement cloud-based solutions using Azure and Java
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software products
  • Develop and maintain complex software applications using Java and Azure
  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior team members
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest cloud technologies and best practices

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of software engineering experience
  • BS in Engineering/Computer Science
  • Hands-on experience with cloud technologies – Azure/AWS
  • Ability to work with complex data models
  • Proficiency in development languages including but not limited to: Python, Java, C/C++, HTML, XML, SQL, Windows, UNIX, and JSON
  • Familiarity with industry best practices – code coverage
  • Experience in software development methodologies (Agile, Waterfall)
  • Experience with Git – GitLab/GitHub
  • Knowledge of test-driven development
  • Ability and desire to learn new processes and technologies
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

Working Environment:

You will operate in various development environments (Agile, Waterfall, etc.) and collaborate with key stakeholders. The role involves writing and reviewing detailed specifications, completing bug fixes, and keeping abreast of new technological developments.

Job Type: Contract position with a duration of 12 Month(s)

Work Site: Hybrid position requiring some days on-site in London, England and some days remote
