This role presents an excellent opportunity for a dependable and meticulous driver to collaborate with a well-respected logistics firm, ensuring that all deliveries are executed efficiently and within the specified timeframes.



Position:
Class 1 Driver

Salary:
£38,000 per annum

Working Hours:
Monday - Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM (Flexibility required for early starts or late finishes on occasion)

Location:
Stanwell

Key Responsibilities of Class 1 Driver:

  • Safely operate a Class 1 vehicle, ensuring the secure and efficient delivery of goods across the UK and Europe.
  • Complete all deliveries within the designated timeframes while adhering to traffic laws and regulations.
  • Conduct regular vehicle inspections, ensuring that the vehicle is maintained in optimal condition, and report any issues promptly.
  • Accurately complete all necessary delivery and vehicle documentation, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Maintain effective communication with the logistics team and clients, providing updates on delivery progress and any potential delays.
  • Ensure full compliance with UK and EU driving regulations, including tachograph rules and Working Time Directive.
  • Adhere to all health and safety protocols, including safe loading and unloading practices.
Qualifications and Experience for Class 1 Driver:

  • A valid UK Class 1 driving license is essential.
  • Must possess a current Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC).
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience driving Class 1 vehicles, with a preference for long-distance and international driving experience.
  • Strong knowledge of UK and European road networks and regulations.
  • A clean driving record with no serious offences.
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous in following procedures and ensuring all documentation is completed accurately.
  • Communication Skills: Clear and professional communication with colleagues, clients, and management.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to remain calm under pressure and resolve issues that may arise during transit.
