About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Teacher of English to join our team at The King Alfred School Academy, a thriving school in the heart of the community. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in shaping the educational journey of our students.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of delivering engaging and innovative lesson plans, with a strong focus on effective teaching practices and behaviour management. You will be responsible for creating a positive and inclusive learning environment, where students feel supported and encouraged to achieve their best.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs of students, with a focus on clear learning objectives and assessment strategies.
  • Establish and maintain high standards of behaviour, promoting a culture of respect and responsibility among students.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to identify individual student needs, tailoring teaching approaches to meet the requirements of the Code of Practice.
Requirements
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and relevant teaching experience in KS3 and KS4.
  • A passion for teaching English and a commitment to delivering exceptional educational outcomes.
