We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accommodation Support Officer to join our team at the Red Snapper Group. As a key member of our organization, you will play a vital role in providing expert housing advice and guidance to our clients and staff.
Key Responsibilities- Provide Specialist Housing Advice: Offer expert guidance on housing law and processes to participants, accommodation staff, and other employees as needed.
- Coach and Mentor Staff: Develop the skills and knowledge of team members to deliver high-quality housing services.
- Develop High-Quality Practice: Contribute to the development of best practices among practitioners in the accommodation team through observation, auditing, and coaching.
- Work with Probation Practitioners: Collaborate with probation practitioners to understand and respond to the housing needs of participants, conducting initial assessments and creating housing resettlement plans.
- Build Partnerships: Establish and maintain effective relationships with referral agencies, authorities, stakeholders, and organizations to facilitate referrals and support participants' housing needs.
- Supervise and Manage Caseloads: Provide regular supervision to a team of Accommodation Support Officers and manage and monitor caseloads to meet contractual requirements.
- Attend Prisons and Provide Support: Regularly visit prisons to support custody-based employees and provide guidance on housing-related matters.
- Facilitate Workshops and Training: Deliver workshops, action learning sets, and case discussions to support staff development and learning.
- Protect Vulnerable Individuals: Identify and take necessary actions to protect children and vulnerable adults and promote their welfare in accordance with safeguarding policies and procedures.
- Level 3 Award in Education and Training
- Knowledge of Tenancy Law and Housing Options
- IT Literacy and Data Management
- Coaching and Mentoring Skills
- Good Understanding of Safeguarding and Vulnerable Individuals
- Proven Track Record in Housing Field
