About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Catastrophe Risk Analyst to join our Global Markets P&C and Facultative analytics team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for modelling and analysing catastrophe exposure, supporting the development of our service offering globally.

Key Responsibilities
  • Data Management: Process and audit client data, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Catastrophe Modelling: Run client portfolios against state-of-the-art internal and external computer models, synthesising results and providing actionable insights.
  • Exposure Management: Analyse and quantify catastrophe risk to client portfolios, using vendor catastrophe models and geo-visualisation tools.
  • Service Offering Development: Contribute to the development of our Global Fac Analytics service offering, working closely with stakeholders to understand client needs and preferences.
  • Communication: Effectively communicate technical detail to internal and external stakeholders, including clients and reinsurers.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with team members to achieve common goals, providing training and advice to junior members as needed.
Requirements
  • Master's Degree: In a numerate subject such as mathematics, meteorology, engineering, physics, geophysics, or geography.
  • Experience: In catastrophe risk analysis, with a proven track record in the insurance market.
  • Skills: Strong problem-solving skills, keen attention to detail, excellent IT skills, and experience with computer programming languages such as SQL and R.
  • Attributes: Excellent communication skills, ability to process and understand data quickly and creatively, and a high level of motivation to learn and grow within a global market leader.
