Job Title: Senior Fabric Technologist

ASOS is seeking a highly skilled Senior Fabric Technologist to join our team. As a key member of our fabric sourcing and development team, you will be responsible for implementing our fabric and trims strategy, working closely with commercial and technical stakeholders to deliver against key milestones.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement fabric sourcing strategies to meet commercial and technical objectives.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to deliver high-quality fabrics and trims, ensuring consistency and quality across global manufacturing scales.
  • Deliver training programs to suppliers and internal stakeholders on fabric management and self-approvals, supporting speed to market and quality.
  • Manage a bulk-approved core fabric library, ensuring compliance with ASOS standards.
  • Work closely with commercial teams to deliver newness and innovation in materials, while achieving best fabric prices.
  • Support the consolidation of fabric mills regionally and globally, driving cost savings through fabric and yarn negotiations.
  • Attend seasonal buying reviews to standardize fabric quality, reduce variance, and improve garment performance.
Requirements:
  • Broad knowledge and experience in fabric sourcing and composite materials in the current competitive marketplace.
  • Strong relationships with suppliers, manufacturers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Market-leading knowledge of worldwide fabric and composite materials supply chain, including core volume lines and quick response unisex fast fashion.
  • Confident presentation and communication skills, with a strong understanding of new fabric innovations and development.
  • Organizational and analytical skills, with good time management and prioritization abilities.
  • Strong reporting skills using Excel, data management, and PowerPoint.
