Overview:

Link Talent is collaborating with a premier renewable energy organization that is swiftly advancing Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) initiatives throughout the UK.

Primary Responsibilities:

  1. Design, engineer, and enhance large-scale energy storage solutions while closely collaborating with the sales team to provide engineering support to both the sales team and clients.
  2. Evaluate RFP documentation and determine project scope and associated risks.
  3. Deliver technical designs and presentations, offering clarifications to our sales team and clients.
  4. Comprehend, interpret, and communicate customer requirements into BESS technical solution designs.
  5. Review and submit technical tender responses within specified deadlines.
  6. Follow up and analyze previous technical tender submissions to gain insights into outcomes from a technical perspective.
  7. Stay informed about storage market technical and engineering requirements and trends.
  8. Research the competitive landscape for ongoing development of product technical solutions.
  9. Work in conjunction with clients and commercial teams to assist in negotiating and finalizing contracts from a technical standpoint.

Qualifications and Expertise:

  1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Energy Engineering.
  2. Proficiency in technical English.
  3. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a relevant field, ideally including experience with a Distribution Network Operator (DNO) or Transmission System Operator (TSO).
  4. Working knowledge of battery systems, power conversion systems, PPC/EMS/SCADA, and grid connection processes relevant to your management regions.
  5. Familiarity with grid operator procedures.
  6. Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and standards for BESS systems.
  7. Capability to size the Power Converter System (PCS) and battery systems.
  8. Knowledge of design principles related to short circuit protection, conductor sizing, thermal systems, safety systems, etc.
  9. Proficiency in additional European languages (especially Italian, German, Spanish) is a plus.
