Overview:

Link Talent is representing a premier player in the renewable energy sector, actively expanding its Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) initiatives throughout the UK.

Primary Responsibilities:

  1. Develop, engineer, and enhance large-scale energy storage solutions while collaborating closely with the sales team to provide technical solutions to clients.
  2. Evaluate RFP documentation and determine project scope and associated risks.
  3. Deliver technical designs and presentations, offering clarifications to both the sales team and clients.
  4. Comprehend, interpret, and communicate customer needs into effective BESS technical solution designs.
  5. Review and submit comprehensive technical tender responses within stipulated deadlines.
  6. Analyze previous technical tender submissions to glean insights and outcomes from a technical perspective.
  7. Stay informed about the evolving technical and engineering requirements and trends in the energy storage market.
  8. Examine the competitive landscape to inform ongoing development of product technical solutions.
  9. Work alongside customers and commercial teams to assist in negotiating and finalizing contracts from a technical standpoint.

Qualifications and Expertise:

  1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Energy Engineering.
  2. Proficiency in technical English.
  3. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a relevant field, ideally with experience in a Distribution Network Operator (DNO) or Transmission System Operator (TSO).
  4. Knowledge of battery systems, power conversion systems, PPC/EMS/SCADA, and grid connection processes applicable to your area of expertise.
  5. Familiarity with grid operator protocols.
  6. Thorough understanding of regulatory standards and requirements for BESS systems.
  7. Capability to size Power Converter Systems (PCS) and battery systems effectively.
  8. Understanding of design principles related to short circuit protection, conductor sizing, thermal management, safety systems, etc.
  9. Additional European language skills (especially Italian, German, or Spanish) would be advantageous.
